Episode number three. This is eg the playmaker behind the hustle. And I appreciate y'all sticking with me, riding with me. This is something new that I'm doing. Treating it like an audio journal for myself and sharing my journey, my, my stories, giving you the best, um, information, the best situation that I've went through. And maybe you can learn a thing or two from it. Learn from my mistakes, learn from my, uh, trial and error situations that has, um, helped me get to where I'm at. You know, I'm a successful business entrepreneur, you know, network or dude that does a lot of cool stuff. You know, I'm thankful to be able to do what I love for a living. That's, that's my whole point. And, and it's all about whatever makes you happy. So this is what makes me happy, doing what I do, working with a lot of beautiful people with amazing talents.

And, um, if this helps you in your career, in your life, in your, um, in your anything, man, I mean, so be it. That's all I'm doing it for, you know what I mean? But this is episode number three. Episode number three, man, I, I, I never had like the thought in the world to even be episode number one on a podcast. So this is, uh, this is some progress for myself, but every single Monday I'm gonna be rocking with y'all doing this and this episode, I wanna focus on something that I battle with actually every single day to be, to be honest with you. And I, I call it like one of my superpowers. And, and it's also like a super villain power because it could, it could mess me up at the same time. And I'm talking about overthinking, overthinking. How many of y'all overthink for real?

Speaker 1 (02:08):

Like, like, I overthink about what? I'm a fun to eat <laugh>. You know, like, so imagine in a meeting or in some, in a important, in a moment of important decision making, you feel me? Like it's, it could be crucial. Like, y'all seen Iron Man, y'all know, y'all know the movie Iron Man, Marvel, you know, I'm a big superhero guy. Like, I like, uh, comic books and everything. Um, his, he's got that ai, that robot thing, Jarvis, and he puts all the analytics and insight in data and options of what could happen if this went this route. That's basically me in my head. I'm a overthinker, a huge overthinker. And, and it's a good and a bad thing. It could, it can be a good and a bad thing if you let it. So that's how my brain works. And then I'm on top of that.

Speaker 1 (03:00):

I'm a creative. So like, I really deep dive into my thoughts and well, what if this happens? And then the domino effect and then the ripple effect to here, and this is how it connects over here. And this angle, like, you know, like I go crazy with it. So overthinking, man. Um, I'm gonna share some things like help me understand myself and get through it. And also like, basically the pros and cons of overthinking cuz there's good and bad for it. And it's just, I, I feel like it's just like a, a real balance to understand about it. Like using your weaknesses to your advantage, understanding weaknesses to make them a strength. Turning your weaknesses into strengths. And that's one of mine overthinking. So, um, it's like you just, you can't get too deep in it. Like it leads to over, like when you get too deep, you overthink and then overthinking leads to problems that don't even exist in the first place.

Like, it's good to analyze and understand different options and routes of things and situations, but then you gotta learn when to stop and be like, okay, this is borderline cuckoo crazy. Like <laugh>, this is, I'm, I'm I'm way left field right now. I'm not even in the same neighborhood no more. I done drove down the block. I'm in a whole nother city. And my thoughts, and this is not even where I'm at with it, it was something so basic like abc, black and white. Like we could, we could, we could go over, think about a whole lot of like super basic stuff, but it's because our mind just, if we let it, we could let it run. And you know, how they say might over matter. I really believe that because your thoughts is your brain, your thoughts is all of that is a powerful thing.

Speaker 1 (04:53):

Super powerful. Like, that's also part of manifestation. Like, I swear when, when I was, um, when I was back in the day, I had a Dodge Neon that was my first car, and I would always be talking about, yo, I'm, I'm gonna get a, that big body bend with the big logo in the front, not the, not the small logo in the front. It's gotta be the big, the bigger logo and, and it's gotta light up. So my thought was like overthinking that every single time. Like, yo, how, I don't know how I'm gonna do that, but I'm gonna get that. I'm gonna get that car. And I ended up getting that car. And, and another one. So I have two with the same big body. I got the drop top bends with the, and then I got the other one with the big, with the big body, with the big logo that they both light up. So that's, I overthought about the manifestation process of how I'm about to do that. I used my overthinking ability, my overthinking superpower to gain in a positive manner, you know what I'm saying? And I, I don't wanna sound, you know, over repetitive and stuff. So I'm gonna be saying the word overthinking. It's a long word. I feel like it's a long word and I'm gonna probably od on y'all. But

Speaker 1 (06:13):

When you, when you get into that space, I really, I really try to remind myself really stick to facts, logic and common sense. There's a point where you gotta be aware of yourself. Be like, be honest with yourself. Be real with yourself. Like when you, when you start talking, thinking crazy in your head. Cuz I talk to myself a lot, um, when I'm alone, I talk to myself a lot. I have a lot of conversations with myself and, um, and I think it's healthy. I think it's really good to do that because you gotta learn how to love yourself. You gotta learn how to communicate with yourself and that's how you only get better, right? But when I realize I'm going like left field and too, too far out, I bring myself back reground. And I just think about, okay, where's the facts? Let's use a little bit of logic here. Let's use some common sense. Stick to the facts, the receipts, stick to non-emotional, uh, type of processes, right? For whatever, whatever it is that you're trying to figure out or attain or gain. Um, the other thing too is like overthinking that increases the lack of confidence in, in any message you're trying to, uh, to deliver. Whether that's at work to get a promotion or in a meeting with 50 cent or Diddy or whatever, high profile celebrity guest or

Client, right? Like, I, I can't be in the room talking to someone important and I'm overthinking. And then it brings like un uncertainty, uncertainty into my, my message that, that, that like, it decreases, it blurs the special feeling. It decreases the, how could I say, the energy that I wanna, I want them to feel. It takes away. So just remember when you overthink, you're kind of like diluting your message, your vibe. You can't be, you, you, you know, if they're about to give a promotion at your, at your job and you're like one of the top three people, you made it to the top three and then you over here overthinking palm, sweaty doing this and that. Like, you're probably not gonna, you know, you're decreasing your, your,

your opportunity, your chance of being like, you know, that's the person that we want to go with. That's the person that we feel is the one. You know what I'm saying? Hopefully that makes sense. And uh, another thing too, overthinking, it's like, how could I say? Like, um, it's a contagious, unwanted vibe. It's very contagious. And someone like myself, understanding that it is understanding that I'm in a position to lead people. Like I, I gotta, I gotta really do my best to not be a person that is like

Speaker 1 (09:33):

In a, in a secondary thinking mode. Like I gotta, I gotta be able to show that confidence. I gotta be able to, to make people feel like, yo, this is the way we're gonna go this route. Here's the plan with a hundred percent confident that it's going to work as a leader. Like if you're a leader in your field, I'm sure you deal with a lot of overthinking because of the pressure, because you really want it to work. Whatever it is, whatever project or career you're in, these are all things that apply not only just into my entertainment industry or whatever, or entrepreneurship, but it applies to the regular things in life and any kind of job, it doesn't matter. So just understand, like this is all applicable to everything, you know, but it, again, it's like a gift and a curse and you gotta really find this sweet spot. You gotta really find that balance. You know, it's, um, it's very interesting how it works. Like even in your relationship, in a romantic relationship, you know, if, if you're not having these healthy conversations with yourself and being able to understand like, man, is my girl at work right now

You know what I'm saying? And you're overthinking, like, nah, she ain't answer the phone. Or this, these other like little things like these potential things that you see as a red flag or something. Like now you are overthinking, now you're falling in the deep a bits of the ocean of thoughts of like, and this whole time, you know, uh, she, she was just focused on work or something, or her phone died or something, I don't know. But again, it's like, these are problems that didn't exist in the first place. You ain't had to feel those feelings in the first place, but because you allowed to over like those thoughts to take over and overthink and everything, now you know, you're opening the opportunity to a potential argument or an un unwanted type of conversation or unnecessary conversation, right? So that's like also applicable in a romantic relationship. Now, again, I mentioned earlier like in a business type of relationship, people want to feel that confidence. People love that, especially if you're a leader. So like, to me, I I, I do it a lot and I feel like, I feel like it's natural for leaders again, because I said about the whole pressure thing and just making big, big decisions.

Speaker 1 (12:17):

But you gotta, you gotta be able to like, capture everything in the moment and act fast too. It's, it's a lot of details to it. And I know it's like, damn, e g you, you expecting, you expecting us to just get this overnight and be perfect or something. It's not, it's, it's just, I just don't want y'all, I want y'all to like to know, like even me, I deal with this every day, every single day. Cuz I, I'm really passionate about what I do. I'm really passionate about the projects that I'm a part of, the clients being happy, then getting results.

And I, I, a lot of the stuff, a lot of these things that I do is new, so I can't really refer to like a template or, oh, I wonder how this company did that and then I could just copy and paste. Like, I, I go into uncharted waters a lot, so that increases risk of something not being able to work. But, but when it does work, it's amazing. So it's like when you go do something that someone, no one, no one has ever done, and it works, you're like, you know, you're a champion, you come back to the city and you're, you know, people throw a parade for you. You're viewed upon as in a, in a different light. And when it doesn't work, people want to obviously put you down or they don't, they don't see you in that manner. They're like, ah, okay, but it's okay because it's gonna be, there's gonna be those times that things don't work. It's okay. Everything is not gonna always work. So when it doesn't work, don't overthink about that either. Just do not make the same mistake more than once. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (14:12):

Don't make the same mistake more than once. I always tell my people, like my team, my girls, everybody, I always tell, I always tell 'em like, yo, I don't got a problem. I don't have a problem talking to people, talking to you about problems. I have a problem talking to you about the same problem. You know what I'm saying? Is that clear to y'all? Like, I don't want y'all to get lost in it. I I do not have a problem talking about problems, but what I do have a problem with is talking about the same problem over and over and over again.

Speaker 1 (15:03):

So that's right there, like, just repetitive nonsense. I'm like, hell no, <laugh>, I'm not doing that with nobody. Wasted time, wasted energy. I'm not trying to be here overthinking with true and now I'm over here rethinking what I'm doing or how I value things and what my process flow to make things successful is no, not not doing that. You know, so like I said, I want to keep this, I want to try to keep these episodes 10 to maybe now, I guess I'm averaging around 15 minutes an episode. Cause I really want to get this in a bite size type of vibe and to just be easily digestible and real and raw and uncut. Like honestly, I record these on the one shot, so you going to hear me potentially, um, catch my breath or, you know, just sipping my coffee at some times or whatever. Or even I'm not cleaning it up to like get rid of stutters or anything. So I just wanna give you my all, I wanna give you my real genuine, uh, message as much as best, as much as possible, as best as I can. You see, like right now, I just repeated or stuttered or whatever, but

I just really wanna focus on giving you the real me that way that these messages, these audio podcasts really connect and y'all can, and y'all can feel that like, okay, this guy, this guy's connecting in a genuine manner. You know, this is a welcoming, genuine type of connection. So I really hope that y'all got something from today's podcast, this week's podcast. Don't let overthink and ruin your life.
